What you will be able to do

• Say that you were about to do something but changed course — or dropped it — with -(으)려다(가): 페트병을 그냥 버리려다가 안내문을 다시 읽었어요. · 새 가방을 사려다가 말았어요.
• Add the last, worst thing to a bad situation with N마저: 늦잠을 잤는데 버스마저 놓쳤어요. · 오랫동안 비가 안 와서 작은 호수마저 말라 버렸어요.
• Say by what means something is done, in formal Korean, with N(으)로써 and -(으)ㅁ으로써: 작은 노력으로써 환경을 지킬 수 있습니다. · 종이컵을 쓰지 않음으로써 쓰레기를 줄입니다.
• Give a written reason with -기에, set a standard with -기에는, and read -되다 verbs and question titles in the news: 지구는 하나뿐이기에 우리가 지켜야 한다. · 포스터에 넣기에는 글이 너무 길어요. · 우리는 하루에 몇 개의 컵을 버리는가?
