What you will be able to do
- Say what you do to or for a small child with the causative verbs in -이-, -히-, -리-, -기-: 아이에게 밥을 먹여요. · 아이를 의자에 앉히고 옷을 입혀요. · 어머니께 바로 알려요. · 손을 씻겨요.
- Use the causatives in -우-, -구-, -추-, and choose between doing it yourself and getting someone to do it with -게 하다: 한 시에 아이를 재우고 세 시에 깨워요. · 목소리를 낮춰요. · 아이에게 옷을 입혀요 ↔ 아이가 혼자 옷을 입게 해요.
- Link two actions closely with V-고서, and say what came next with V-고서는: 점심을 다 먹이고서 약을 먹였어요. · 엄마 노래를 듣고서는 울음을 그쳤어요. · 직접 해 보지 않고서는 몰라요.
- Say that something happened only after something else with V-고서야: 책을 세 권이나 읽어 주고서야 잠이 들었어요. · 직접 해 보고서야 부모님 마음을 알았어요.
