So … that — a feeling or an action went too far and led to a result nobody planned. Korean grammar for advanced learners — Level 5A, lesson 11: 학교 이야기 (School stories — is the entrance exam still needed in the AI age? Education systems compared).

What it means

A/V-(으)ㄴ 나머지 says that a feeling or an action went too far and led to a result you did not plan: 너무 긴장한 나머지 질문을 다시 물어봤어요 'I was so nervous that I asked them to repeat the question'. Verbs take the past -(으)ㄴ (긴장한, 서두른) and adjectives -(으)ㄴ (기쁜, 피곤한), then 나머지. The first part usually has 너무 or 지나치게 and a word for a feeling. The result has already happened, so the end is usually past — no commands or suggestions.
