여행의 즐거움 — The joy of travel — while you're at it, and rather than…. Lesson 6 of Level 4B in the haru Korean regular course.
What you will be able to do
- Say what else you'll do — or did — while you're somewhere anyway, with V-는 김에 · V-(으)ㄴ 김에: 부산에 가는 김에 지민 씨 작업실에도 들를 거예요. · 제주에 간 김에 올레길도 걸었어요. · 말이 나온 김에 다음 주 계획도 정해요.
- Give a careful guess at the reason with A/V-아/어서인지 · N(이)라서인지: 연휴 뒤라서인지 모두 피곤해 보여요. · 날씨가 좋아서인지 바닷가에 사람이 많았어요.
- Say you'd sooner do something else when both choices are bad, with V-느니 (차라리): 한 시간이나 기다리느니 차라리 다른 데 가겠어요. · 택시를 타느니 차라리 걸어가는 게 나아요.
- Praise a place or a person that has it all with N(이)면 N, N(이)면 N — and contrast with N과/와 달리: 부산은 바다면 바다, 음식이면 음식, 다 좋아요. · 서울과 달리 부산은 바다가 가까워요.
