What it means
Three places for formal Korean. A report (5B-8): end every sentence in -다, write 본 보고서는 instead of 나는, ask with -는가, name causes with N을/를 N(으)로 꼽다. Written judgements (5B-7): -(으)ㅁ에 틀림없다 (no doubt), -는 점이 특징적이다 (what stands out). A formal e-mail (5B-3): -지 않을까 하다 (a careful worry or thought), -(으)면 어떨까 합니다 (a soft suggestion), -기 그지없다 (deeply — once is enough). Notices and syllabuses: rules in -(으)ㄹ 것, conditions stated plainly.
